This study assesses the impact of environmental changes on livelihoods in Niassa Province, focusing on local agricultural practices and resources. Key findings reveal that while access to agricultural land remains stable, fuel wood availability is perceived to be declining. The study indicates a strong interest among locals in forestry employment and highlights the importance of education and social services. Recommendations include planning to prevent conflicts and enhancing local participation in environmental assessment processes through better information and training.
