  3. Are your devices: • In your hand? • if not, sign out one of our loaners • Charged? • please charge it now • Registered/Authenticated? • if you’re unsure we’ll be around to help you get set up • On? • the final step is to turn on your device 4-Point inspection

  4. Driver’s Ed. • Power (sleep/wake) • “Slide to unlock” • Battery level • Home button • Volume • Pictures/Videos • Gallery • Calculator • Voice memo • Notes • Settings: sounds, brightness, etc. • Map • App store and apps • Internet • Others?

  11. Connect to Wi-Fi • Go to Settings • Airplane Mode = OFF • Wi-Fi = ON • Choose a Network… (wait for name to appear) • Enter password • Test: open the Safari app

  17. Starting a new survey Select “Start” to start a new survey

  18. Finishing a survey To save the data,you must select “Touch to Finish” The survey will automatically re-start for the next store.

  19. How to handle partial surveys • What if you’re asked to leave the store before finishing the survey? In the CORE • Select “Back” until you reach STORE STATUS • Select “I was asked to leave” In a module • Select “Back” until you reach the beginning of the current module • Select “No, I will not be doing this module” for all remaining modules & exit survey. *Report the situation on your field notes*

  20. Put the device to sleep by pressing the power button between stores.
