Marquette Academy Core Messages Lifelong Learners: Marquette Academy prepares our students from a young age to become lifelong learners by developing critical thinking skills, which allow for success at the collegiate level and beyond. Catholic Community: Marquette Academy instills in our students the virtues of Jesus Christ and the Roman Catholic Church, so that they can live prosperous and virtuous lives. Tradition of Excellence: For over 150 years, the Marquette name has been synonymous with quality, Catholic education in LaSalle County.

  2. Marquette Academy prepares our students from a young age to become lifelong learners and develop critical thinking skills, which allow for success at the collegiate level and beyond. Running Start Program Honors courses offered to all high school students. 100% of graduates from the 2010 & 2011 classes enrolled in college. Small class sizes Power Pre-K and Beyond MA and IVCC have collaborated to offer students of Jr. and Sr. standing the opportunity to take dual credit courses. 10:1 Student/Teacher ratio allows for more one-on-one instruction. Even at a young age our students are encouraged to open their minds to new avenues of learning. This encourages our students to challenge themselves and develop the critical thinking skills needed to succeed. 61% attend 4-year colleges; 39% attend 2-year colleges Students at MA can now graduate with a high school diploma and an associates degree. Our preschool students are exposed to Spanish, art, PE, music and dance. Not only does this prepare our students for college, but saves students and parents much of the costs associated with attending a 4-year college. Students at all age levels are exposed to art, music, PE, and foreign languages

Marquette Academy offers religious retreats for students of all ages Students are required to participate in Christian Service Projects that promote community involvement Marquette Academy employs a full-time chaplain along with three priests Students of all ages are provided daily religion classes. TEC; Encounter; Senior Retreat; God Squad High school students are offered Mass and Confession daily, while elementary students attend mass every Friday. Students are introduced to subjects such as Church history, morality and religious conflict. Students are required to complete 30 hours/year During retreats students are asked to reflect on their faith, while sharing their experiences with other students The class of 2011 completed over 7,000 hours of Christian Service. All school Masses for grades K-12 once a month. Students are active participants in the celebration of the Mass

Alumni have seen success in athletics, medicine, business and many other professions. Marquette Academy has provided Catholic education to the Ottawa for over 150 years. Marquette Academy has a long history of athletic success. Graduates attend major colleges. The classes of 2010 and 2011 earned over $2 million in college scholarships. Both boys and girls athletic teams have seen success. Teams have participated at the regional, sectional and state finals levels of athletic competition. Our student athletes have moved on to participate at the NCAA Division I,II and III levels. Some have even advanced to the professional level. National Merit; Illinois State Scholars; Merit Scholarships; Community Scholarships MA alumni not only represent the school in a positive light, but also contribute so that the current students can reap the benefits they were afforded.
