  1. The different copper wire products and their uses!

  2. Copper is certainly one important metal in the industry which is a great conductor of heat and electricity. It is so good that it has set international standards for conductivity. Every other metal is compared to copper when it comes to judging the conductivity of the respective metal. Copper wire is highly used in various jobs like power generation, power transmission, power distribution, telecommunications, electronics circuitry, and countless types of electrical equipment.

  3. Some electrical wire products that are products of copper include, enameled copper wire, armored copper wire, stranded copper wire, and glass wire. The uses of some of these wires are discussed in detail below: Stranded Copper Wire: These wires are developed to bear the high tolerance for expansion and vibration. They are commonly used as connectors in various electrical appliances. This is because these wires are flexible enough and thus allow for expansion. Similarly, if compared to other wires, they have much better capability to sustain blows of vibration.

  4. Glass Wire: Stranded copper wire is used to make the glass copper wires. Glass wires are a combination of tin copper and bare copper wires. There are two processes which are followed to make a glass wire namely the fiber glass thread braiding and the glass tape lapping. The last step in the procedure is the plating of varnish. Thanks to the process that the glass wires emerge to become highly resistant to temperature. Glass copper wires are used in alignment heaters, submersible motor, electric motor, other electrical instruments that require resistance to high temperature.

  5. Armored Cables: These cables are one of the products of PVC insulated cables. They are used for the supply of power from one place to another and for the purposes of earthing. These cables are commonly found in the underground transmission systems, power networks and cable ducting. These have flexible steel covering upon them which makes them tougher and more elastic. And this is exactly why they are used for some functions of power supply.

  6. Silver Enameled Copper Wire: These wires are popularly used for replacing sterling silver as jewelry. They are easy to use and are very resistant to tarnishing.
