Pitch is how high or low notes are within a piece of music. For example, the pitch of a double bass is lower than that of the violin because the double bass has longer strings. Silence is the gaps, rests or breaks within a piece of music or song. Can be very dramatic. Duration is how long or short notes are within a piece of music., e.g. time signature and how many beats in the bar.
