Duration How long or short notes are within a piece of music and the length of the actual piece all together Musical Elements Tempo How fast or slow the piece of music or song is. Tempo is measured in BPM beats per minute Silence The gaps, rests or breaks within a piece. (good for effect) Timbre (Tone colour) The effect of melodies and harmonies played together and how they’re distinguished from each other.
