  3. Squash & Stretch • The ball should stretch on the way down • The ball should squash once it hits the ground • The ball should stretch going up and the return to its normal shape at the peak

  4. Timing • The ball should go progressively faster and the ball falls • The ball should get progressively slower as it rises

  5. Faster Slower

  6. Staging • Effectively use the camera space • Lower the ground plain • Make enough room for the ball to drop a fair distance.

  7. Contrasting Colors Use contrasting colors in your ball bounce to make the ball stand out

  8. Goals • Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of animation • Post on you ACME website • Reflect on peer reviews • Create a second ball bounce

  9. Requirements • 1 week to finish • Use appropriate color schemes • Use the principles of animation • Render in AVI format • Post Online to your ACME website

  10. Rendering • Switch resolution to “low” • Choose to render in “final mode” • Enter in the start frame and end frame • Switch file type to AVI • Save in you ANIM account

  11. Post on ACME • Put AVI clip in your challenges folder • Post as a response to a challenge • Under intentions mention the principles of animation used in the ball bounce

  12. Review Posts • It is important to see what feedback other animators are giving you • The next week after posting be sure to check the comments under your posted work. • Create a second ball bounce based on the feedback.
