  3. Revision Sheets The revision sheets are divided into 3 separate sections. The Knowledge section will test if you can explain in your own words methods or important phrases you have used. Saying the answer out loud or writing it down will help you put things in your own words. Maybe try explaining your answers to your Mum or Dad.

  4. Revision Sheets The revision sheets are divided into 3 separate sections. The Understanding section will test if you can answer questions based on the topic you are revising. They will be like the questions you have seen in your textbook. Try each question out in your jotter or on a sheet. Have your jotter and textbook out and check them to help you see how you set out and solved questions like them earlier in the year.

  5. Revision Sheets The revision sheets are divided into 3 separate sections. The Application & Skills section will test if you can use the methods that you have explained in the Knowledge section and practised in the Understanding section in real life situations You will need to see if you can spot which method will help you solve the problem. Read the question carefully a couple of times – it may take some thinking time to decide how to do each question! Again, write your methods down.

  7. Success Criteria You will be given a sticker after each topic with a list of Success Criteria on it. You may have discussed these criteria in class. It is important that you can do each of the bullet points. If you can honestly say that you can then you will have revised the topic well.

  8. Success Criteria Find some questions about each bullet point in your jotter or in your textbook and try them again. If you get the answers correct (the right answers should be in your jotter already!) then you can tick the success criteria linked with that question.

  9. Success Criteria Move on to the next bullet point and try questions on it (eg: finding a common denominator). Once you are confident that you are getting the answers correct most of the time then you can tick that bullet point.

  10. Success Criteria Keep going through all the bullet points until you have ticked them all. Don’t tick one if you are not completely happy that you can get a question on it correct!

  11. Success Criteria If you can’t do a bullet point, check your jotter and textbook again for examples. You could see if there is any help online…BBCBitesize for example. Keep trying questions. If you are still stuck after trying for some time, ask your teacher next day for a little help.

  12. Success Criteria If you have been able to tick all the boxes, you can be fairly confident that you have revised the given topic well. You are now ready for a test!! Good luck!
