CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN Strategy 1 – Infrastructure QB.1 Utilize internal construction management services for 75% of projects falling under the formal State/County monetary thresholds of $300,000; with use of the Direct Material Purchases (DMP) process for 75% of projects that cost over $1 million. • Saving dollars by eliminating construction management fees while reducing the costs of general conditions. • Save 6% sales tax on significant material purchases by ordering directly from suppliers through the DMP process on 75% of projects over $1 million. GOAL : Construct high quality/energy efficient public facilities in the most cost effective and efficient manner possible while completing projects within budget and schedule.
CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN Strategy 2 – Sustainability QB.3 Landfill diversion of all new construction and remodel projects. • Divert 50% of construction waste from landfill. GOAL: Construct high quality/energy efficient public facilities in the most cost effective and efficient manner possible while completing projects within budget and schedule.
