  5. SNCA Inc. Mission • Sierra Nevada Community Aquatics mission is to develop a multiuse aquatic center for the residents of the Truckee Meadows

  6. Our Concept • Develop, build, and operate a multiuse aquatic center on the Moana site • SNCA Inc. provides ideas for master plan for 22 acre parcel • SNCA Inc. raises funds, constructs, and operates aquatic center on portion of Moana site

Competitive Swimming Pool Key Features • Cooler water (80° F +/-) • 54m x 25 yd (two, 2m bulkheads) • Depth minimum 2.2m (7 feet) • Methods of use • Max 20 lanes , 25 yard course (18 w/o edge lanes) • Max 8 lanes, 50m course (six lanes w/o edge lanes) • One 25yrd x 30m water polo (bulkheads move to create this) • Events: • High school competitions/training • Masters swimming • Water polo competition • University meets/training

Recreation PoolKey Features • Water based play for children • Irregular shape but roughly 25 x 25 yards. • Warm Water 90° F • “River” feature (one way flow area) • Platforms in pool to swim to and stand on • Zero entry to maximum four feet • Slide • Splash area • Wave Rider Feature • Events: • Birthday parties • Other group parties • Drop in usage

Instruction PoolKey Features • Warm water 90° (+/-) • 25 yards x 42 ft (+/-) • Steps at each instructional area • Lap lanes have independent entry • Typical depth approximately 4 feet • Lift Chair (alternate use for therapy) • Multiple areas to separate classes • Individual lease areas (five in current plan) • Two lanes for more advanced instruction

  24. Making the Dream a Reality • SNCA has developed a comprehensive functional plan for aquatics users • SNCA is committed to making this plan a reality on the Moana site by July of 2011.
