  1. Developing Hydraulic Model of Water Distribution Network in Rafidia Area, NablusbyAbeer Melhim Noor SalehSupervisorDr.Mohmmad Almasri

  2. Objectives of the project • To estimate the per capita water consumption of zone w0 of Rafedia. • . To hydraulically analyze the WDN of Rafedia W0 zone using EPANET. • . To propose design of the new WDN.

  3. Study area • Location: • Study area is Rafidia zone W0, which is located in Nablus. • Topography: • Height ranges between from 440m and 510m.

  4. Study area • Population of Nablus 126,000 persons. • Population of Rafidia 7,000 persons. • Population of W0 is 3,500 persons.

  5. Rainfall

  6. Water Resources • Wells

  7. Water Resources • Springs

  8. Water resources

  9. Water consumption • Water consumption per month in 2009.

  10. Water consumption • Average consumption per month=12218m3average consumption per capita per month= 3.5m3average consumption per capita per day=.11m3 .

  11. Network .

  12. Steps for construction the hydraulic model • 1. Discretization • 2. Demand assignment • 3. Head loss expression and it’s coefficient.

  13. Discretization

  14. Discretization

  15. Demand and elevationassignment • Sources of UFW • demand calculation • Assign the demand and elevation at each node

  16. Demand and Elevation assignment
