Missouri Basin River Forecast Center What went well..... • Daily calls with USACE • Collaboration with USACE on long-term projections • Reception of discharge measurements in real-time from USGS • Frequency of measurements on mainstem kept NWS model adjusted • USGS service exemplary (rating extensions, measurements upon request, emergency gage maintenance, RDGs) • Reception of gate changes in real-time from USACE and USBR Maybe not so well.... • Transfer of products hampered by comms issues • Pre-event rating extensions, some worked well, some not • Collaboration on Bismarck forecast troublesome. USGS rating showed one thing, USACE needed to maintain consistent forecast • DSS requests by one partner agency but different staff
