  4. School/University interface • 1. post 16 mathematics within Curric2000 • briefing day in June 2001 in London • information pack • tracking ongoing changes • support for further mathematics • 2. first year experience • a series of visits next year to establish what is happening in departments

Staff Development • 1. workshops • induction day for new lecturers in September • workshops for statistics • a number of regional workshops in 2001/2 • 2. resources • material being collated for an exhibition • production of new discipline-based resources to support and increase the effectiveness of teachers and enhance the learning experience of students

Service Teaching, or • Applicable Mathematics • 1. regional Maths Toolkit workshops run jointly with other LTSN Centres • 2. national approach to diagnostic testing • publication of report from Gatsby seminar • email discussion list measure-maths-problem • 3. resources • case studies in diagnostic testing and student support • development of packs for problem-based learning

Supported by core activities network with existing interest groups and encourage collaboration - TaLUM, UMTC, mathedu, MathGate provide a focal point for information- approachable advice service- searchable databases of resources- information on funding opportunities disseminate for information, understanding and use- Web site, MSOR Connections, workshops support and enhance academic practice- encourage the publication of reflective articles- link with research into maths education in HE
