Oracle/PeopleSoft Certification Plans Oracle Database 10g • New RDBMS product releases are now subject to more rigorous testing scenarios • These scenarios include: • Specific application functionality testing • Volume testing • Performance testing • Certification testing • PeopleSoft adoption of new RDBMS products will be initially targeted to 180 days after GA release of the new RDBMS.

PeopleSoft with RAC • PeopleSoft has certified RAC • The following PeopleSoft releases and platform combinations are supported • PT8.42 and PT8.43 with Oracle 9.2.0.2.x and 9.2.0.3.x on the following platforms: • HPUX11i • HP Tru 64 5.1 • Sun Solaris 7 and 8 • AIX 4.3 and 5.1 (5.2 Q42003/Q12004) • Windows 2000 • PeopleSoft Red Papers covering best practices are available on PeopleSoft Customer Connection Website.

  15. PeopleSoft with UTF8 • If your requirements are for a global PeopleSoft implementation the Oracle Globalization features will be important. These include • UNICODE Database support – available with PT8.1x and PT8.4x • Linguistic Sorting – default with PT8.4x • Character Semantics – implemented in PT9
