  4. Venus • 0.72 Au from the Sun • almost the same as Earth • 457° C • 243 days for one rotation • 226 days to orbit Sun • 0 moons • Lots of carbon in atmosphere • Has mountains, valleys and volcanoes and rains sulfuric acid

  5. Earth • 1.0 AU from the Sun • 12 756 km diameter • -89 to 58° C • 23h 56 min to rotate once • 365 days 5 hours to rotate about the Sun • 1 moon • Atmosphere: 78% Nitrogen, 20% Oxygen, 2% other gases • Water, breathable air and YES! LIFE!

  6. Mars • 1.5 AU • ½ diameter of Earth • -140 to 20° C • 24.6 hours to rotate once • 1.88 years to orbit the Sun • 2 moons • Atmosphere: carbon dioxide and a little oxygen • Rust in soil, methane in atmosphere, tallest volcano in solar system

  10. Saturn • 9.5 AU from the Sun • 10 x size of Earth • -170° C • 10.7 hours for one rotation • 29.5 years for one orbit • 61 moons • Atmosphere: mostly hydrogen and helium • Great white spot (storm) and low density (could float on ocean on Earth)

  11. Uranus • 19 AU from the Sun • 4 x size of Earth • -215° C • 12.2 hours for one rotation • 84 years for one orbit • 27 moons • Atmosphere: mostly hydrogen and helium • Rotates sideways

  12. Neptune • 30 AU from the Sun • 4 x size of Earth • -235° C • 16.1 hours for one rotation • 165 years for one orbit • 13 moons • Atmosphere: mostly hydrogen and helium • Great dark spot
