  5. Buddhism • Many Chinese forms of Buddhism spread through Asia

  6. Everything in the universe was made up of two forces called "Yin and Yang". • The Yang section is the warm, positive, masculine, and sunny side, often colored red. • The Yin side is black and is described as feminine, mysterious, dark, and negative.

  7. Taoism: people should withdraw from the world and contemplate nature Confucianism: Importance of family, respect for elders, reverence for past and ancestors Legalism: power without moral virtue, people naturally selfish and untrustworthy Buddhism: universal charity and compassion
