District Info &Sergeant at Arms District 5400 Liason • Keeping club updated on District Deadlines • Establishing our club’s 2019 – 2020 Officers and Directors • Auditing District 5400 Matching Grants • Writing articles for District 5400 Newsletter Sergeant-at-Arms • Raising funds for Whittier with happy dollars, fines and bake sales • This day in history Moment • Five Alive birthday celebration • New prayer every week to honor various religious groups

  29. Great Social Gathering Saturday, February 9—Hearts in Service, Hillcrest Country Club, 6:00 p.m., delicious food and wine, awards, casino night—dress semi-formal

  30. Club Service Awards Erin Yturri received 2019 Outstanding Club Service award for her work as assistant treasurer and youth exchange counselor. Mike Markley received Boise Southwest’s Club Rotarian of the Year award for his work supporting the club and youth exchange

  31. Club Service Award Barbara Dorsey received an award for her commitment to making the Rotary License Plate a Reality.

  33. Taking Rotary to the Public Thursday, March 7—Dixie Jazz and Crawfish Boil, Basque Center, 5:30 p.m. Rotary Awareness Day and fund-raiser for Boise High School band uniforms. Presented check for $2,000

  34. Major Fundraiser Goal for next year: get someone to take photos! $11,653.56

District Awards Boise Southwest Rotary was honored with 7 awards at the recent District 5400 Celebration in Boise Membership Growth Gold Award for 7% growth Membership Retention Gold Award for over 96% retention. Club Foundation Giving Gold Award for donating over $150 per capita: $17,506 (so far) Polio Plus Giving Silver Award for giving $20 to $37 per capita: $1,500 (so far)

District Awards Boise Southwest Rotary was honored with 7 awards at the recent District 5400 Celebration in Boise Service Project Recognition Magnitude of Impact Award for our work with Whittier Elementary Rotary Youth Exchange Gold Award for consistent hosting, financial support, district committee participation, and innovation Rotaract Club Award For clubs that sponsored a new Rotaract Club
