  1. WaterEnergy By: Mason Rekos, Jack Myer, AdaiMaddox, and Micaela Upton

  2. Water energy runs by water turbines. Water turbines spin at over 300 mph to split water molecules. Water will split and make the generators power up and produce energy for the community. n. p. 2012. Newspapers. 2/6/14.{http://search.proquest.com/docview/1236862486?accountid=2838} How it works--Jack

  3. Anywhere with a water source(a.k.a. lagoons, rivers, ponds, and lakes.) Location--Jack

  4. To have water energy, you need you need to build stations. The only problem is, to build station can cost millions of dollars. On the other hand, to produce water energy cost nothing. In fact, the U.S. uses so much water energy that by the year 2030 we would have spent 950 million dollars water energy for toilets alone. Cost--Micaela

  5. To make water energy, you need turbines, a dam and a generator. • The Dam stops to much going into the turbines Causing it to explode. • The turbines are like a giant fan that spin at over 200 mph. It spins by the water that comes into the turbine and the spinning motions causes it to power what is called a generator. • The generator power your house and appliances. Materials--Mason

  6. Water Energy does have Pollution. 25% of the worlds energy is Hydroelectricity (water energy) Hydroelectricity Energy is energy from falling water. Power Plants or Hydroelectricity power plants is one of the cleanest ways to produce electricity . No Fossil Fuels Burn to create air pollution. It also does not effect Plant and animals life. 4% of electricity used in the U.S.A uses 7.5 Billion KWH of hydro electricity a year. Pollution--Mason

  7. Water won’t pollute • Water will not dump CO2 into the environment • Water can power cars without pollution. • Water will create cleaner clouds that won’t pollute the rain. Efficiency compared to fossil fuels--Jack

  8. Water energy is a renewable resource. Some hydroelectricity stations (water energy stations) can last over 100 years. The Limpet station on the coast of Islay generates energy for over 300 homes daily. Benefits—Micaela

  9. Some dammed water ways can interrupt wildlife and migration. Plant decay in reservoirs can cause methane to form and hydropower reservoirs can cause air pollution. Consequences--Micaela

  10. Water Electricity does have a limit to it. The Hydroelectricity is renewable (means it is a infonaut supply and can be reused) is it also safe to produce and is clean to the environment and animal life on earth. It is also at a very low cost. It has such big of a supply that it can power T.V, lights, Computers, and much more. The only problem is it needs to have clean and fresh water or water energy can mess up. Limit--Mason

  11. Larger hydro plants that involve the building of dams can have an impact on water and land transportation. The turbines effect the transportation of water animals such as fish & tadpoles could get stuck in the flow of the water and be harmed. Transportation--Adai

  12. Yes. In fact, hydro power can be considered as solar power. Hydro power works with solar energy & wind power. Hydro energy is considered as solar energy because…. It works with sunlight, in air currents, and the water cycle. Does hydro-power work with other forms of energy?--Adai
