  2. The needs of the saints • II Corinthians 9:12 • For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; • Generosity of the Christians • The needs of the saints are met. • The saints express their thanks to God.

  3. The ministration of the givers • II Corinthians 9:13 • Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men; • Glorification of God by the Saints • The givers display the genuine Christian faith. • The givers act in obedience to Jesus Christ.

  4. Ten lepers

  5. Ten lepers met Jesus • Luke 17 • 12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

  6. One leper thanked Jesus • Luke 17 • 15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, • 16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

  10. Squanto helped the pilgrims • Samoset urged Squanto to go to meet the hungry Pilgrims. • Squanto was an interpreter and guide. • He taught the Pilgrims how: • To catch fish • To plant corn, squash, and beans

Squanto was present at the first thanksgiving • Squanto brought Chief Massasoit and his tribe to join the Pilgrims for the feast. • Governor William Bradford led the prayer to thank Jesus Christ for the needs, the protection, and Squanto. • There was peace between the Indians and the Pilgrims for 53 years.
