Interactive Classrooms • First Generation • Mainly based on Polycom ViewStation FX codecs • Two-way Audio and Video • Seating for 18 to 24 (excluding PARB 126) • No H.239 support • Controlled via IR remotes
Interactive Classrooms • Second Generation • Based on Tandberg 6000 MXP codecs • Two-way Audio and Video as well as H.239 support • AMX control system • EDRB 129 and PARB 239
Tele-Collaboration Rooms • Based on Tandberg Edge 95 MXP’s • High Definition Capable (720p) • H.239 Support • PARB 119 and PARB 120 • PARB 129 is a “Hybrid” TCS/Classroom
High Definition Classroom • Research Based DL Classroom • Based on two Polycom HDX 9000’s • Provides 2 Video Channels, 1 H.239 Channel, and 1 Audio Channel • Room is configured to function in 3 modes: • Presentation (no codec) • Single Codec (1 video channel) • Dual Codec (2 video channels) • Located in EDRB 244 (seats 20)
Cisco Telepresence • 1080p single monitor video conference system • Located in PARB 118 and seats 2 • Two way audio and video • Does not support H.323 connections
Infrastructure – MCU’s • Polycom MGC-50 • Supports 12 connections at 384kbps (or 6 connections at 768kbps) • Utilizes a PC based client for administration • No HD support and limited H.239 support
Infrastructure – MCU’s • Tandberg Codian 4501 • Supports 24 standard definition connections or 12 HD connections • Continuous Presence support • H.239 support • Web-based Administration • Will be registered with DLPE’s management system
Infrastructure - Recording • Tandberg Content Server • Provides 5 simultaneous recording ports • Capable of recording H.239 stream in addition to audio and video • Web based administration
Infrastructure – Recording • Windows 2008 Server • Provides 6TB (raw) storage for the Tandberg Content Server • Capable of archiving multiple terms • Looking into DLPE integration
