  1. RRMC RITE Training for Physicians and Physician Extenders Part 5: Changing Care Providers and Reviewing Home Med Lists Using Net Access The presentations should open full screen in “Show Mode”, however, if they do not: Click “Slide Show” from the toolbar and select “View Show”. You will not see the entire education presentation unless you view in Show Mode. Use ◄►arrows on keyboard to move forward and backward

  2. kab039  UAS Single Sign On will auto enter your User Name and Password here… Your default list displays on log in kab039  Use ◄►arrows on keyboard to move forward and backward

  3. You can find the patient using the [Find] button and when you open NetAccess, the patient you have selected in Amalga will automatically display -or- You can find the patient in NetAccess first Click [NetAccess] from the UAS launchpad A patient will automatically appear in your “My Patients” and Group list if you have been set as having a Consulting or Attending relationship with the patient For new patients that are not in your list, you will need to set your relationship status in NetAccess Use ◄►arrows on keyboard to move forward and backward

UAS Single Sign-on will automatically enter your Logon ID and Password and also Log On for you • You can find a patient by : • Inhouse-Name Inquiry • Name Inquiry (for patients that are not bedded) • Patient Number Inquiry • Medical Record Number Inquiry • Nurse Station Census • Group Census Use ◄►arrows on keyboard to move forward and backward

  5. Select the correct patient to open up the patient electronic medical record Click “Inhouse-Name Inquiry” from the Navigation Pane Enter the patient name and click search Use ◄►arrows on keyboard to move forward and backward

When a patient is selected, confirm that the correct patient record is displaying The patient name will appear in the UAS launchpad and the system’s patient banner When opening up a patient record, the Patient Alerts screen will display, giving you important information about the patient, such as Code Status, Infection Prevention indicators, Quality Measures, etc. Select “Care Providers” from the Navigation Pane Select “Change MD” Use ◄►arrows on keyboard to move forward and backward

  7. In this screen, you have the options: Add Consulting Change Attending Change Primary Care Add to or Remove from NICS Team NICS providers - IMPORTANT: In order for a patient to appear on the NICS Care Team patient list, you must add the patient to the NICS Team Select “Change Attending” Use ◄►arrows on keyboard to move forward and backward

  8. Current Attending MD is now updated. This change will now add the patient to your “My Patients” list in Amalga Type in at least the first few letters of the MD’s last name, click [Search], then select the MD from the list Click [OK] to accept the change Use ◄►arrows on keyboard to move forward and backward

  9. Click on [Amalga] from the UAS launchpad Use ◄►arrows on keyboard to move forward and backward

  10. The patient you previously selected in NetAccess will be automatically selected in Amalga. The updated Attending MD is received automatically Use ◄►arrows on keyboard to move forward and backward

  11. Click the [Info] button to review this patient’s clinical information Use ◄►arrows on keyboard to move forward and backward

  12. To review a patient’s collected Home Med List and to access Medication Reconciliation Forms Click [NetAccess] from the UAS Launchpad Use ◄►arrows on keyboard to move forward and backward

  13. The “C” icon indicates that a comment was added. The comment can be viewed in the detailed section below by clicking on the C The “paper” icon indicates the medication has a sliding scale or a tapered dose Click “Display History” to display a history of all medication changes The [?HELP] button will give you information on the use of each form Click “Print Forms” Click on a specific “Home Meds Collected” list to see a snapshot of what the medications were after each change Always log out of the workstation before walking away by using the Red exit door Click “Med Reconciliation” from the navigation pane Click the [Amalga] button to return Click “Display Med List” Use ◄►arrows on keyboard to move forward and backward
