Sunday of the Blind Man A Reading from the Second letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians (2 Corinthians 10: 1 – 7) Brothers and Sisters, I myself, Paul, appeal to you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I who am humble when face to face with you, but bold toward you when I am away! I ask that when I am present I need not show boldness by daring to oppose those who think we are acting according to human standards. Indeed, we live as human beings, but we do not wage war according to human standards; for the weapons of our warfare are not merely human but they have diving power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every proud obstacle raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ. We are ready to punish every disobedience is complete. Look at what is before your eyes. If you are confident that you belong to Christ, remind yourself of sins, that just as you belong to Christ, so also do we. Praise be to God always. A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Mark (Mark 10: 46 – 52) They came to Jericho. As he and his disciples and a large crowd were leaving Jericho, Bartimaeus son of Timaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the roadside. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many sternly ordered him to be quiet, but he cried out even more loudly “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus stood still and said, “Call him here.” And they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take heart; get up, he is calling you.” So throwing off his cloak, he sprang up and come to Jesus. Then Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man said to him, “My teacher, let me see again.” Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he received his sight and followed him on the way. This is the Truth, Peace be with you.

We ask all the parents to please cooperate with us and register their children. There will be a sign-up sheet in the front of the Church and one in the back of the Church. Or contact Father Michel. PARISH CENSUS Fr. Michel wants to start a census for our parish. Forms are available at the front and back of the church. Please complete the census form and return to the rectory ASAP. Form available online at www.mcparish.org Information collected will be kept confidential. The Ladies of the Sorority will start cooking and preparing the Easter cookies (Maamoul). Thank you in advance Decorated Palm Sunday Candles will be on sale this Sunday for $10 Quantities are limited HALL RENTAL If you are interested in renting the Hall, please contact Mr. Maroun Estephan at 780-903-9293 FIRST HOLY COMMUNION Preparation classes for children receiving their First Holy Communion will be held every Saturday, 11:00 – 3:00 p.m. The Sacrament will be celebrated May 9th at 5:00 p.m. PARISH COUNCIL MEETING A parish council meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 31 at 8:00 p.m. All members are encouraged to attend.
