  2. Introduction • Romans 3:21-31 • Paul is writing to the Church in Rome -They are practicing false idolatry -They will face the “wrath of God” • Paul wanted the Gentiles to be treated fairly -God belongs to them too

  3. Themes and the Message • Important themes in Romans -Equality of Jew and Gentile -Salvation, which is God’s plan for all of humanity • God belongs to all -All people, both Jews and Gentiles, are under the power of sin

  4. What it Means • Faith in Christ is what matters the most -It does not matter if someone is circumcised as long as they believe in Christ -Both the circumcised and uncircumcised will be righteousedon the basis of faith in Jesus • “To be righteoused by God” means to be changed from one realm to another

  5. Relation to Prep • There is no distinction between people -God belongs to everyone -No one is better off because everyone has sinned • Don’t criticize or blame someone for something because of what they believe in or how they look
