  2. Location • This place is situated near the Gulf of Finland. Only 120 km separate it from Saint-Petersburg.

  3. History • This lake was named Kopanskoe because of the extraction of sand, which was held here. Deep pits were dug out and the water amassed inside.

  4. Water and flora • The water is really very pure. • The temperature of it in summer is about 23-25 deg. The depth of the lake is rather low The reed, and algae grow there.

  5. Fauna • Kopanskoe is full of fish. There are different species of freshwater creatures: from crucian to eel.

  6. Banks The banks of this beatiful lake are sandy. Pines, birches, spruces grow here. This territory is equipped for holidaymakers.
