Professional Science Technicians Programme • Who is it for: • Progression route for advanced apprentices • Entry point for school/college leavers with A-levels or BTEC • Entry point for adults transferring into the sector • CPD opportunity for existing technician workforce • What does it offer: • Grow your own technicians through on the job training • Recognition of technician skills through professional registration • Recognition of internal technician training through APEL endorsement • How is it delivered: • Nationally through MMU distance learning foundation degree • Locally though FE provider New HND programme • What will it cost: • Tuition fees set by provider • Individual may apply for Student loan to contribute towards tuition fees • Professional registration fees and APEL costs supported by PSTP up to March 2013.
