  22. In the Image of God • Our Minds… • Ability to think, reason, and ultimately to know God! • Personally interact with God • Reason with God, learn from God, and interact with other humans

  23. In the Image of God • Our Emotions • Feelings give us a connectedness to others and a passion for things • God wants us to connect with Him with our emotions because He has emotion! • Not to be controlled by emotions alone!

  24. In the Image of God • Our Will • The ability to choose, to decide, to determine… • Distinction between humans and animals! Humans have a will, animals have instinct! • Choose to love and to obey God.

  25. In the Image of God • God gave us… • A mind so we can know Him • Emotions so we can intimately connect with Him • A will so we can choose to love Him

  26. Being in Adam • God created one man and one woman! • Since Adam and Eve were created in God’s image, every offspring of theirs is in God’s image (you and me)

  27. Being in Adam • “In Adam” --> What was true for Adam is true for the whole human race. • Every baby born is “in Adam”

  28. Conclusion • The fact that you and I have a worldview is a direct result of being made in God’s image with a mind, will, and emotions • Transformed mind leads to a transformed life!
