  3. Weihnachten in Deutschland Symbols of the Advent Wreath • Shape: A circle represents the love of Jesus, which has no beginning and no end • Substance: Evergreen because Jesus offers us eternal life if we believe in Him.

  4. Weihnachten in Deutschland • Candles: Jesus said, “I am the light of the world”. • Four Candles: One candle for each Sunday of Advent • Red Candles: The color red represents love—love we have for each other and Jesus’ love for us.
