This project investigates various plasters' performance in absorbency, waterproofing, and ventilation to determine which is best suited for different situations. By conducting multiple experiments, we analyzed factors like absorbency, waterproofing capabilities, and the ability to allow wound ventilation. Despite facing challenges and failed experiments, we gathered valuable insights into the strengths of plasters like Hansaplast, Watons, and Band Plus. This guide aims to assist in selecting the appropriate plaster for specific needs, ensuring effective wound care and healing.

  3. Introduction: • Usage of plasters : • related to our daily life. • allow the wound to breathe and help the natural healing process.

  4. Factors to be considered when doing the experiments • Absorbency • Ventilation • Force degree • Waterproof • Viscosity

  5. ~Waterproof Experiment~ Aim • test the cotton if it could prevent the incoming water. 1.Formed the two groups

  8. Aim test which plaster could absorb the largest amount of dust ~~Viscosity Experiment~~

  9. ~~Viscosity Experiment~~ put the plasters on some wooden stickers and placed them near the windows.

  10. First experiment: our classroom was so clean, we couldn't found a lot of dust Second experiment: there was too a lot of dust, we couldn't find different between the plasters Viscosity Experiment( failed )

  11. Aim: test the cotton’s absorbency. Why? one of the important features Gentian violet solution is easy to show the results clearly. Steps: drop drib of gentian violet solution to the each plasters’ absorbent cotton. Wait for 2 minutes put one paper cover the plasters and one paper at the bottom to absorb the extra solution.   22. Ventilation Experiment Aim: • test the plasters’ ventilation Why? • it will affect the wound to breathe or the healing.

  23. Ventilation Experiment Steps: • 1. drop 2ml alcohol into each test tube • 2. cover the test tubes with the different plasters’ cotton. • 3. put all the test tubes near window *alcohol’s volatility is better than the others

  24. Ventilation Experiment(failed) • not enough time • dangerous (by heating ) • didn't have other methods. *Failed the 2nd time --due to atypical pneumonia • (use water to do the second experiment)

  27. Advice: Standard & Adhesive Plasters for fingers (contacted with water---good at waterproof ) Adhesive Plasters for wound is quite large and outpour blood (absorb blood rapidly.) We hope these advise will be useful for you!! ~Conclusion~
