  2. In Word, click on File, then Print to open the Windows Print dialog box. Drop down the list of printers and select the Canon iR5000. Then click on Properties.

  3. Canon iR5000 Print properties Drop down this list of print options and select Secured Print.

  4. This dialog box opens automatically. Read, then click OK.

  5. Username & Password Prompt Enter your username and a five-digit numerical password that you will remember. For example: 1 2 3 4 5

  6. Username & Password Example Click OK when you are ready.

  7. You are now in “Secured Print” mode. At this point you can still change the paper source, finishing options and number of copies. Click OK when you have completed your settings.

  8. The Windows Print dialog box reappears Click OK to send the document to the copier.

  9. Meanwhile at the copier . . .

  10. Default Canon Copy display Press System Monitor in the lower right hand corner.

  11. Canon System Monitor Display Next press Print – top, center.

  12. Print Job Status Display You should see your document listed here as “Waiting . . .” For more information you may press Details. When your document is highlighted, press Secured Print.

  13. Password Prompt Enter your password using the numeric keypad on the copier and press OK.

  14. Nothing beats the sound of a copier . . . Mission Accomplished.
