State of Virtual Reference

This report explores the evolving landscape of virtual reference (VR) services in libraries as of January 2004. It highlights initiatives such as Gerry McKiernan's Registry of Virtual Reference and Joseph Janes' global census of VR. With more libraries adopting VR, numerous software providers have emerged, enhancing collaboration among institutions.
