  1. MY TIMELINE

  2. 1998 • I was born at about half past eleven at night.

  3. 1999 • A total solar eclipse visible from Europe and Asia.

  4. 2000 • New millennium

  5. 2001 • 9/11 suicide bombings on the twin-towers

  6. 2002 • Dean’s birthday (my brothers)

  7. 2003 • Space Shuttle Columbia takes off for mission STS-107 which will be its final one. Columbia disintegrates 16 days later on re-entry.

  8. 2004 • Lion Air Flight 538 crash landed in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia, killing 26 passengers out of 146. • The NASA unmanned spacecraft Genesis crash-lands when its parachute fails to open.

  9. 2005 • STS-114: NASA makes the decision to ground the Space shuttle pending an investigation of the external tank's continued foam shed problem. During ascent, the external tank of the Space Shuttle Discovery shed a piece of foam slightly smaller than the piece that caused the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster; this foam did not strike the spacecraft.
