  5. Teacher Survey Findings: 298 Responses – teachers represented special education, general education and various content area Most teachers spend 76-100% of their time teaching online (44% of respondents) Most teach in fully online environment (53%) Most teach at High School level (68%)

Teacher Findings continued • Category of disability most often served online? • SLD (60% of teachers reported having these students in class) • Autism (52% of teachers reported serving) • Emotional Disturbance (52% of teachers reported) • Category of disability least often served online? • Deaf-blindness (2% of teachers reported serving) • Deaf (6% of teachers reported serving)

Teacher Findings continued • Most teachers feel: • High level of knowledge about teaching students with disabilities online (54%) • Well prepared to teach students with disabilities online (70%) • Satisfied teaching students with disabilities online (61%) • Have enough administrative support (78%) • They will continue teaching online (77%)

Teacher Findings continued • Biggest challenges reported by teachers? • Accommodating for disabilities online (34%) • District’s technology infrastructure (33%) • Related services: Districts provide: • Speech language (43% of teachers reported) • Occupational therapy (27%) • Physical therapy (20%)

Teacher Findings continued • What considerations did teachers think their district considers when enrolling students with disabilities in online learning? • Health needs (46 % of teachers reported) • It’s easier to individualize online (46% of teachers) • Parent preferences (57% of teachers reported) • Most teachers (63%) didn’t know what information they are required to provide to families of students with disabilities or reported that their district didn’t have a requirement.
