Word Generation Scope and Sequence

The Word Generation curriculum, designed by Erin Ruegg and Claire White, delivers a comprehensive literacy program tailored for 4th to 7th graders. Each grade level features unique, structured units; 4th and 5th grades include twelve 10-day units, while 6th and 7th grades offer twenty-four one-week units. This curriculum emphasizes reading comprehension, academic vocabulary development, and collaboration among teachers. Through surveys and observational methods, educators can assess student understanding and growth, aligning with Common Core State Standards and fostering rich discussions and debates.
