  3. It is our honour and pleasure to invite you to attend the 25thAnniversary National Balint Conference with International participation. We all hope you want to be part of the proceedings concerning the main theme chosen by the Romanian Balint Society “RETURN TO BALINT” It is our deep belief that those who have previously attended other Balint Conferences in Romania are mesmerized by our pristine landscapes and will eagerly want to return. We welcome everyone who wants to join us to help maintain the scientific prestige of the conference.

Program of the Conference Registration: The registration for the Conference will start on Thursday, September, the 27th, 2018, in theafternoon, and it will be followed by a concert at the Franciscan Church and the Welcome Reception in the evening. From Friday, September the 28thtill Saturday evening, September the 29th, there will be plenary sessions and Balint group work. On September the 30th: optional postcongress trip to the Salt Mines at Praid Conference structure Oral presentations Fish-bowl (Extended Balint groups) Small Balint groups Official language of the Conference Romanian andEnglish, however, there will also be small Balint groups in other languages (French, German, Hungarian and Romanian).

Social program: It includes: - Miercurea Ciuc Balint Trek - Concert at theFranciscan Church - Welcome reception andFarewell Party with artistic programme and dance (drinks: NO LIMIT!) • Excursion to the Salt Mines at a spa 90 km away (OPTIONAL). We are descending 120 meters underground in a regular bus, and have lunch there. We will visit the Butterfly-house at the spa, have shopping opportunities at the folk art center. Price: 110 euro (in case of a minimum of 20 participants)

Accommodation The best negociated fee for the conference participants is: at Hotel SALVATOR **/*** where the conferenceproceedings will take place Please remember that these special rates are available only if booking is made and paid through the Conference Secretariat. Reservation requests will be confirmed on a first come - first served basis.   16. To take advantage of the special rates negotiated for the Conference, reservations have to be made no later than June 30th, 2018. After that date, the Conferencepre-reservation of rooms will be closed and the hotel managers may charge higher rates. Please remember to place your accommodation reservation ASAP (as soon as possible), because the month of September is a peak tourist season in MIERCUREA-CIUC and hotel rooms may be more difficult to find.

Transportation or „How to get to the Conferencesite” Closest airports are at Cluj-Napoca (250 km, approx. 4,5 hours), Sibiu (200 km, approx. 4 hours) and Bucharest (250 km, approx. 4,5 - 5 hours). From Bucharest the guest can choose the transport with shutle busses leaving from the airport's parking lot at 04:00; 10:30; 12:30; 17:00; 19:30 and 00:00 for 30 euros/person (for groups less than 5 persons), or 25 euros/person (prior check-in required: +40 748 524 677). From Sibiu or Cluj-Napoca we can rent a special bus (coach) for the participants. Other possibilities: - rent a car at the Airport - Take the train at Miercurea Ciuc railway station. From the airport to the Bucharest North Railway station you can take thebus express no. 780. Bus fare is about 2 euros. • hire a private driver

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we look forward to welcoming in 2018a broad cross-section of those interested in the balintian movement and in improved therapeutics to support better health outcomes. The Scientific Committee will put together an exciting program that will appeal to attendees who are interested in the balintian work. The Organizing Committee of the 25thAnniversary National Balint Conference with International participation, invites you to present papers related to the main theme of the Congress: ”RETURNTO BALINT” Including the following subtitle: Balint groups and psychosomatics

Presentations: • All presentations will be in English • The time for each presentation will be strictly limited to 15 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for discussion. • Papers must be sent in Word format, by email to the following address: veressalbert02@gmail.com Audio – Video technology: • The conference rooms are equipped with the necessary computers, projectors and microphones. • All the presentations should be in Microsoft Office PowerPoint format, brought on writable CDs, memory sticks or personal laptops. • Deadline for receiving the papers is 31thof August 2018

Cancellation and refund policy: Before the 1st of September 2018: All sums will be returned(minus administrative expenditures = 10 Euros.)Between 1st-15th September, 2018: 50% of the participation fees and accomodation price will be returned. After 15th September, 2018: No already paid sums will be returned Any request for registration cancellation and refund has to be addressed to the SECRETARIAT OF THE CONFERENCE.
