  4. The Girl Who Turned into a Bed. It happened that day she picked up a strange pussy willow. Her head swelled up white and a soft as a pillow. Her skin, which had turned all flaky and rotten, was now replaced with 100% cotton. Through her organs and torso she sprouted like wings, a beautiful set of matress and springs. It was so terribly strange that I started to weep. But at least after that I had a nice place to sleep SPOT THE SIMILE! IS IT EFFECTIVE????

A Red, Red Rose O My Luve's like a red, red rose,That's newly sprung in June;O My Luve's like the melodieThat's sweetly played in tune.As fair art thou, my bonnie lass,So deep in luve am I;And I will luve thee still, my dear,Till a' the seas gang dry, my dearWhile the sands o' life shall run.And fare thee weel, my only luve,And fare thee weel, awhile! And I will come again, my luveTho' it ware ten thousand mile!Robert Burns

  6. Flint An emerald is as green as grass, A ruby red as blood; A sapphire shines as blue as heaven; A flint lies in the mud. A diamond is a brilliant stone, To catch the world's desire; An opal holds a fiery spark; But a flint holds a fire. Christina Rossetti 1830-1894

  7. A Dream Deferred What happens to a dream deferred? Does it dry up like a raisin in the sun? Or fester like a sore– And then run? Does it stink like rotten meat? Or crust and sugar over– like a syrupy sweet? Maybe it just sags like a heavy load. Or does it explode? by Langston Hughes
