  1. Dear EAFE members, I propose you a very simple but convenient program to help the identification of Lucilia genus by the use of the inter-ocular measurement. This method is an help but can’t be the only way for the identification. The data come from to : “Blowflies (Diptera, Calliphoridae of Fennoscandia and Denmark” 1991 Knut ROGNES.   5. Example n° 2 A= 0.81 ; B = 2 Value mini and max possible for this specie and sexe. A / B = 0.405 1 result found This bar is proportional : in this case 0.405 is nearly in the middle between 0.402 and 0.41

  6. Example n° 3 A= 0.81 ; B = 2 A / B = 0.36 So, be more accurate in your measurement or you are really between 2 species… 4 results found
