  6. Communication Daily Homework Folder Weekly Take-Home Folder • An Agenda will be issued each week with detailed information for all upcoming assignments. This form is to remain in the Homework Folder and be initialed daily. • Special comments and/or behavior issues will be recorded on a Conduct Calendar to help maintain parent-teacher communication. • Please do not sign the Agenda unless you have acknowledged the Conduct Calendar and work requirements. • The Take-Home Folder will be sent home each Wednesday and is to be returned by Friday. • Graded papers and special forms are to be signed and returned in the folder. • School-wide memos and receipts will placed in the back pocket and may be kept at home. • There is a special section for parent-teacher communication when needed.

  7. Emergencies • Please make sure your child has a ziploc bag with an extra change of clothes in his/her bookbag at all times for emergencies.

  8. Snack Calendar Snacks Birthdays • A snack calendar will be provided each month for our Kindergarten class. • Please plan ahead and send enough for a class of 20 students. • We always avoid items with peanut butter because of numerous allergies. • You are welcome to send cupcakes on or close to the day of your child’s birthdate. • These may be shared at snack time instead of lunch time so as not to interfere with instruction so early in the day.

  9. Accelerated Reading Program • Students must read and test on AR books during each 9-weeks. • Prizes will be awarded each week for accumulated AR points.

  10. Grading Procedures • Detailed Progress Reports will be sent home at the midpoint of each 9 wks. • Report Cards will be sent home at the end of each 9 wk. grading period. • Conferences may be scheduled through the front office when desired. Emails and texts are also welcome.
