  2. What is it? This boom is an expository text that goes into detail of WWII from the rise and fall of Germany to the dropping of the atomic bombs on Japan. Attribute: The book contains nothing but factual and verifiable information about a specific subject. Title: Absolute Victory What is your book’s genre? Attribute: Factual and verifiable information about a specific subject. “ Heinrich Himmler, the chief architect of Hitler’s gruesome, far-flung archipelago of concentration and death camps.” (pg.121) “ On September 1,1939 Germany’s army, the Wehrmacht, and the air force, the Luftwaffe, smashed their way into Poland in a surprise lightning attack, or blitzkrieg, that quickly subdued the poles. Now at last, Britain and France declared war on Hitler.” (pg.5) “ Bad weather- A typhoon nearing Japan on Aug.1 only delayed what was now inevitable. The skies cleared gradually, and by the afternoon of Sunday, Aug.5, the 9,700 lb. Little Boy uranium bomb was being winched into the special modified bomb bay of Tibbet’s B-29 on Tinian. Attribute: Uses facts about real events. “ In the Balkans, the Germans had lost Romania.” (pg.13) “ So Doenitz commanded the troops facing the Russians to continue to fight, while ordering those on the western front to surrender immediately.” (pg. 123) “ On March 22, Kuribayashi sent his last radio dispatch to Tokyo. “we are still fighting,” he cabled. “ The strength under my command is now about 400.   6. Evaluation The book that I read is filled with examples that prove it is an expository text. Almost every page is filled with pictures, diagrams, and illustrations. The book itself also contains nothing but factual and verifiable information about accounts of real events and operations that actual happened.
