Agra is probably the only city comparable to Delhi in terms of its existing history. The historical prominence attached to Agra is greatly attributed to the Mughals rule. It was the capital of Sikandra Lodi in 1501 from the north western frontiers, which founded this place. Agra was the Mughal past capital of country India during 16th and 17th century.
