The Jean Delay Prize 2005, in partnership with Servier and the WPA, celebrates individuals who significantly advance the biological, psychological, or social dimensions of psychiatry. Established in memory of Dr. Jean Delay, a pioneering figure in modern psychopharmacology, the prize acknowledges the monumental impact he had on psychiatric treatment. This year, the award goes to Prof. Otto Steinfeldt-Foss from Norway, recognized for his dedication to patient rights and dignity in mental health care. His plenary lecture focuses on the intersection of patient rights and bio-psycho-social development in psychiatry.
