  3. Healthy Kids Alberta! (HKA): • Focuses on Wellness • Is for all children and youth • Recognizes the roles of parents/guardians, families and communities • Builds on success to create new opportunities

  4. Encouraging Healthy Eating Promoting Active Living Building Resiliency 3 Key Wellness Areas:

  5. AHW Healthy Weights Initiative • Regional Health Promotion Coordinators • Social Marketing Campaign • Child and Youth Nutrition Guidelines

  6. AHW Healthy Weights Initiative • Wellness Fund for Healthy School Communities • Healthy School Communities Award

  7. Support for Active Living • TPRC - funds Be Fit For Life Centres and provincial recreation and sport associations and projects to support the Active Living Strategy (through ASRPWF) • Education – Daily Physical Activity Initiative and wellness curricula and resources

  8. Building Resiliency • Children’s Services - workshop series reaching parents in over 60 videoconferencing sites • AADAC – involves teachers and parents in school strategies to prevent substance abuse and gambling problems.
