  1. Mrs. Cresci Room 305 Pre Algebra

  2. Do Now • The Do Now is about 4-6 questions that will be on the board at the beginning of class • It will take about 5-10 minutes to complete • It will be collected on Friday for 10 points • 5 points to answering the questions at the beginning of class • 5 points for answering the questions correctly • You must show your work to get full credit • Do-Nows, Goals, and Exit-Tickets are 15% of your grade

  3. Today’s Do Now Directions: Answer the following questions • What is your favorite food? • What is your favorite subject? • What is your favorite sport to watch on tv? • What is your favorite sport to play? • What is your favorite color • What did you do this summer?

  4. Homework • Every night except Friday • I will be checking homework everyday, while you are completing your Do Now • I will be giving you one homework sheet a week. • You will complete 5-10 problems a night from the sheet. • Turn the sheet in on Friday • We will review the answers after the Do Now • Must show your work to receive full credit • 10% of your grade

  5. Tonight’s Homework • Get your syllabus signed • You and your parent must sign the syllabus

  6. Classwork • Your agenda lists everything that we will be doing that day • Must show all work to receive full credit • 25% of your grade

  7. Exit Ticket • The Exit Ticket - last 5 minutes of class • Communication to Mrs. Cresci • Can be: • 2 items you learned • 2 items you need help • Or 1 of each • Turned in each day! 10 points

  8. Quizzes • Given every unit • Usually about 10 questions • 20% of your grade **Quiz corrections can earn ½ the points back**

  9. Tests • Given at the end of each unit • You will always have a test review before a test • Please study from the test review • 30% of your grade **Test corrections can earn ½ the points back**

  10. Test Corrections • Test corrections are done on a separate sheet of paper • Must show all work • Explain how you solve the problem in words • Have the correct answer • Turn in the test with the corrections • Please staple your test corrections to your test

  11. Things to remember • Be prepared and on time • Locker times are before school, before lunch, and at the end of the day • Make sure you have your belongings for class • Food and drinks are not permitted • Electronic devices must be turned off • 3 strikes • No foul language or horseplay

  12. Supplies • Pencil • Eraser • Binder or Folder • Scrap paper

  13. Make-Up Work • All make up work is turned in within a reasonable amount of time from date of being absent. • Any work not turned in will result in a zero for the assignment

  14. Grading Policy A = 100-93 B = 92-85 C = 84-77 D = 76-70 F = Below 70
