  1. Unit Paperwork Not as much fun as camping or hiking but critical to your Unit’s survival.

  4. Youth and Adult Applications Make sure ALL signatures are on the Youth App. Youth transferring from another unit must complete a TRANSFER FORM, not a new application. Adults must give permission for a background check. Every adult must include a certificate of completion for Youth Protection training.

  5. YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING CERTIFICATION MUST ACCOMPANY A NEW ADULT APPLICATION

  6. AFTER YOUR APPLICATION IS ACCEPTED AND YOU RECEIVE YOUR MEMBER NUMBER, LOG-IN TO MYSCOUTING.ORG WITH THE USER NAME AND PASSWORD THAT YOU USED TO TAKE YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING. CLICK ON “UPDATE MY PROFILE” AND ENTER YOUR MEMBER NUMBER IN YOUR PROFILE.

  9. Tour Planning Worksheet Why should I complete a Tour Plan? When is it required? What information do I need? What training must tour leaders have in order to have their plan approved?

  10. When does NEPA Council require a Tour Plan? ANY TRIP OR OUTTING Except Council and District events (camporees) or trips to Acahela or Goose Pond

  11. UNIT ADVANCEMENT REPORT TROOP LEADERS CAN NOT PURCHASE RANK AND MERIT BADGES WITHOUT THIS FORM. You can generate this report from TroopMaster and/or PackMaster software Or generate report on-line. You must obtain a unit ID number from the council office.

  12. CHARTER RENEWAL

  13. CHARTER RENEWAL Hand deliver your corrected paper roster along with Chartered Organization Signature form to the council office. Or go to for Internet Rechartering. Use the wizard to update your unit roster on-line (you must obtain your unit access code from the council office). Submit your updated roster via ScoutNET. Or export a recharter CSV file from Troopmaster and upload it to ScoutNET.

  14. Journey to Excellence A unit award designed to encourage excellence in providing a quality program for the Scouts in your unit

  15. Your troop must earn at least a Bronze level or you won't be permitted to Re-charter.
