  1. SALT LAKE COUNTY SOFTBALL TRAINING Section VIII Finishing the League

  2. County Policy, Procedures & Forms • Time Sheets & Vouchers • Preparation for your league • At the field • Terminology and Scoring in the Book • Finishing up the night • Stats • Finishing the League • Review Training

  3. Make sure you bring an extra copy of standing for yourself • This should contain all players that have a chance to win the leading hitter award • Have with you a calculator to figure the leading hitter for that night • Know in advance which teams could be receiving awards that night • Know what each team must do to win an award before you come to the park • Know which players could be receiving awards that night • Know which players are in contention no matter how many plate appearances they have going into the night. • If your league requires 35 PA for the season I would suggest that your list you bring has everyone that has 30 PA on there. Closing Night

  4. Make sure you know where the awards will be • If player / team that wins award is not there return the award(s) back to Sports Office with the night, field, name, team and phone number on who gets the award • This should be a last resort • This should not be done just because you do not want to figure them up at the ball park. • Contact the person and tell them when the award(s) will be available at Sports Office for them to pickup. • After this contact is made e-mail or call Staci and give her the information on who will be picking up the team awards. Closing Night (cont.)

  5. Enter scores into Quick Scores • Finish Stats and send them in to SLCO • In sending your final stats also include the following • Any teams that their playing ability doesn’t belong in that league and what level you think they should be at. • Any suggestion you think should be considered for 2015 season • Turn your binder into SLCO as quickly as possible after your season ends. • The Sports Office would like this done within one week so the binders can be used for Fall Leagues. What to do after the season is done
