What you need to know about community college… • Application becomes available March 1, 2014 • www.cccapply.org (APPLY EARLY!) • You will need to take a placement exam • Some programs may have entrance requirements • Parallel apply with four year universities • Special programs that will help you successfully transfer! (e.g: Honors, PUENTE, TAP, TAG,) • Financial aid is available for community college students • Timing is crucial! With community colleges becoming more impacted, you must apply, test, and register as early as possible!

What is Counseling 50? • 1 unit Fullerton College Course • Great introduction to Fullerton College • Learn to select colleges and develop an educational plan • Understand your educational options (ie: transfer path) • Explore campus resources (ie: special programs, services) • Prepare yourself for the Fall 2014 semester • Great Benefits • Enhanced enrollment : register before other new students with zero units! • Transferrable unit to other community colleges

What do I have to do to enroll? • STEP 1 • Complete the Fullerton College Special Admit Form AND the Health Services Form. • STEP 2 • Once you return your COMPLETED Special Admit form and Health Services form, select the session you would like to attend. Sign Up sheets are located in the Guidance Office. • STEP 3 • Attend 1 of the following application/registration sessions at Sonora HS: • Tuesday, October 29th • Tuesday, November 5th • You will be notified at a later time of your EXACT date, time, and location Special Admit and Health Services are due in the Guidance Office on: Monday, October 21

  6. 5 Sessions of Counseling 50 @ Sonora! NOTE: You cannot sign up for a Counseling 50 session UNTIL you submit your completed Special Admit Application and Health Services form to the Guidance Office! Special Admit and Health Services are due in the Guidance Office on: Monday, October 21 **NO late enrollment**
