What is HAC? • Home Access Center is a one-stop secure web interface portal that allows parents to • monitor academic progress, • view student schedules, • grades and test scores, • attendance records, • registration information, • keep in touch with your students teacher, • and starting this summer, complete back to school enrollment forms digitally online
Online Registration • Parents will use their HAC account to complete the annually required registration forms online digitally, beginning this summer for next year. • Gone are the days of filling out form after form by hand. Parents will quickly and easily update and verify contact and emergency information, and other vital enrollment questions online.
Online Registration • The online registration feature will be opened for parents to access through their HAC account in late July. • Parents will click the online HAC enrollment system, type in or verify pre-populated information, and digitally submit registration forms to their child’s school.
Online Registration • Then in August, all parents will need to do to finalize their student’s registration is to physically visit their child’s school to complete the residency verification process by submitting a recent original utility bill receipt and their driver’s license. • Parents may also need to bring an updated immunization record for their student.
When is the deadline to get a HAC Account? • It is important to set up your account before the end of this school year, which is May 31. • Registration for the 2012-2013 academic year will begin in late July.
Step 1 • To create a HAC account, you must be listed with the school as the student’s guardian. • Then just simply complete the Home Access Center Information Form, which is available as a download in English and Spanishon the district’s website or you can pick up a printed form from the front office of your child’s school.
Step 1 continued • Be sure to provide a valid email address on the HAC Information Form. For example: janedoe12@gmail.com • A Parent HAC Account can only have one email account assigned to it. • But mom and dad (as long as they are both guardians) can have separate Parent HAC accounts with two different email accounts.
Step 2 • Deliver the HAC Information Form in person to the front office of your child’s school along with your photo ID, and a school official will verify the information on the form. • Can’t deliver the Form in person – that’s okay, just have the Form notarized and have your student give the from with an attached copy of your photo ID back to the school. • Parents only need to complete one form, even if you have multiple students in the district. • The school you return the form to will assist in connecting all of your children to your HAC account.
Step 2 continued • When your information is verified by the school, an email will be sent within 48-72 hours to the email address you provided on the form. • The email includes instructions (including a link) on how to activate your HAC account.
The email will look like this: “This is an automated email from Duncanville Independent School District. Please do not reply. Your email address has been placed into Duncanville ISD's student information system. You may now register to view your child's/children's school data by clicking here http://hac.duncanvilleisd.org.”

This will take you to the HAC webpage. From here click on the HAC button to open the login screen.
