  2. Psychological Tests • Measures behavior objectively • Should be: • Reliable – Produce consistent results • Valid – Accurately measure what they were designed to measure • Normed – Compared to general population • May be adjusted for minority groups

Self-Report Measures of Personality • Brief questionnaire (test) that provides extensive insight about an individual’s personality • Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2) • Most frequently used personality test • The MMPI is used to screen for personality and psychosocial disorders in adults and adolescents. • It is also frequently administered as part of a neuropsychological test battery to evaluate cognitive functioning.
