Why use Pinterest? • To display attractive and inspiring photos of your vacation rental, area attractions and local activities. • Source of promoting the highlights of your property • Engaging with your target market • Building links to your property page • Educating travelers about your location, and making them more likely to be interested in your property • Creating a conglomerate of shared images, resources and links • Source of potential traffic to your listing • From 2010 to 2012 we looked at inquiry conversion from Pinterest on VRBO; it was approximately 6% • Compared to some other social sites, the inquiry conversion is higher

  3. Getting Started What is it? • Pinterest is a virtual pin-board site that allows users to organize photos from any website and places them into categorical “boards”. How do you sign up? • You must request an invite, somark it on the sheet! • Once you receive an invite, link to your Facebook or Twitter account before you create an account with your email address
