  3. Harmful for the planet! • This fuel is harmful to the environment the gases released from the burning fuel kill our Ozone. Fossil fuels are non-renewable energy resources such as coal, oil and natural gas. These are called non-renewable because they take millions of years to form and the rate of depletion is much higher than the rate of formation. Burning of fossil fuels releases carbon dioxide, which is a harmful greenhouse gas and is primarily responsible for global warming.
