Engineers Without Borders - Brighton A new branch needing new members to fill important positions: President Treasurer Secretary Website manager Events co-ordinators Publicity co-ordinators Fundraisers Researchers Training organisers Members can get involved as much or little as they like in social, networking, fundraising, campaigning or admin roles

Engineers Without Borders Last years international placements included: India - Environmental reporting, rainwater harvesting and journalism Nepal - Eco-stoves and solar panels Sri Lanka - Alternative energy and plastic recycling Malaysia - Solar energy systems Rwanda - Water collection and distribution Nigeria - Village road construction Brazil - Flow measurement systems Ecuador - Water purification and wood stoves Suriname -Solar power and incinerators Spain - Renewable energy programs

What will you get out of being a member of EWB Brighton? • Starting an EWB branch is challenging, but it is also one of the most interesting and rewarding things you can do while at university: • You will learn a great deal about development work. • You will gain valuable experience of managing a charity. • You will meet and work with the people who run organisations such as REDR, ITDG and other major NGOs. • You can gain experience of PR, fundraising, financial management and many other valuable skills. • You can have a real impact on the lives of people in the developing world. • You will be involved in forming and expanding an exciting and important new charity. • You may have the opportunity to travel overseas and take part in development work directly. • You will meet many like-minded people and have many very enjoyable experiences.
